About the Presenter

Rebecca Wolfson
Graduate Student
Tufts University
Becca Wolfson is executive director of the Boston Cyclists Union. She works with residents, advocates, municipal staff, and policymakers to fulfill the organization’s mission to transform the Boston region's streets so everybody has access and can feel safe and comfortable riding a bicycle. She sits on the boards of Streetsblog MASS and the International Winter Cycling Federation. Her experience liaising in local government and community and her environmental ethic were honed in the six years she spent working for the environmental AmeriCorps Cape Cod program. Becca is currently working towards her Masters in Urban & Environmental Policy & Planning at Tufts University.

Shan Jiang
Shan Jiang is the Eileen Fox Aptman, J90, and Lowell Aptman Assistant Professor in the Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning at Tufts University. Her research interests lie in Big Data Analytics, Spatial Data Science, Geographic Information Science, Computational Social Science, and the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Land Use, Transportation, and Urban Planning. Dr. Jiang has published in journals such as PNAS, Computers, Environment and Urban Systems, IEEE Transactions on Big Data, Transportation Research Part C, etc. She is the Area Editor of Data & Policy, a journal dedicated to the impact of data science on policy and governance, published by Cambridge University Press.
