Ms. Monisha Shah is a Justice40 Fellow with the Office of Economic Impact and Diversity at the U.S. Department of Energy where she is leading efforts to implement the Justice40 Initiative. On assignment from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory where she is a senior energy analyst, Shah leads the development of innovative clean energy analytic frameworks and technical assistance programs on behalf of DOE and other federal agencies. Ms. Shah led two utility data access campaigns - the Better Buildings Energy Data Accelerator and the Green Button Initiative while a Deputy Associate Director at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. She started her career leading analysis efforts with the US DOE, US EPA, US AID and research organizations across the country and globe to assess clean energy policy and technology solutions for addressing climate change using a multitude of energy and air quality models and analytical approaches. Ms. Shah has a M.S.E. in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in economics and B.S.E. in chemical engineering from the University of Iowa.
