Daniel Oviedo is Assistant Professor in Urban Transport and Development Planning at the Development Planning Unit of University College London. He is a Civil engineer by training with a masters on Transport Planning from Universidad de los Andes and PhD in Development Planning from UCL. Daniel has over 12 years of experience in research and consultancy on the social, economic and spatial analysis of inequalities related to urban transport and policy evaluation in rapidly growing cities in Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa. His main areas of research are accessibility, equity, social exclusion and wellbeing. He currently serves as director of the Latin American chapter of the International Network for Transport and Accessibility in Low-Income Communities (INTALInC) (www.intalinc-lac.com).
